Yard Finds!!!

A bun warmer for .50. My in laws has one of these and they keep biscuits in theirs. This will keep any kind of bread from drying out and you just warm it up on the stove.
2 patriotic porch decorations for .10 each. A CD and a book for .10 each.
Sterling silver hook earrings for .25. After sanitizing them and polishing them with a silver cloth, they look great.
A great pair of summer shoes, that had never been worn for $1.
I found this little wire container for .25 to hold my nail polish in. I have one at home that holds my lipstick. They are a neat trick...made for the bathroom, but they work great to hold make up.
3 book for .10 each. One is a cookbook that has some great recipes and the other is a Southern Living gardening book. I love Debbie Macomber and I haven't read this book yet.Saturday, March 20, 2010
Deals & Steals!!!
My whole $10 that I could spend at Best Buy...with no strings attached. I just had to spend at least $10, which was not hard.
The Carrie Underwood CD that I got to put songs on my MP3 player. Then I was off to Pebbles. I wasn't exactly sure what I was going to get since I didn't know what my savings was going to be. I saw a handbag that caught my eye, and it was marked down to $11. The coupon was good on regular price, sales and clearance. So, I knew I had to have it.

A very good deal at only $5.50. I actually changed purses in the car before going to eat.
Then I decided that I wanted a really nice pair of flip flops. Dressy ones as I called them. They had a great selection, but they were $20 a pair. I was hesitate until I saw the BOGO half off, so I picked another pair.

I loved these with the stones on them. My mom bought me a necklace like this for Christmas, and I thought these would look great with the necklace. I already have an outfit in mind. Khaki Capri's with a turquoise shirt, the necklace with the flip flops. A girl has to plan!!!

I love these with the polka dots...and for $5 (that is what they were after my discount) who could leave them at the store. Now as my friend Tiffany Johnson says, "I have to make sure to have my toes "did" during flip flop season." She is so funny, and could be a blog all by herself.
When I got to the register the cashier said the flip flops were BOGO FREE. Okay, but that is not what the sign says, she says that the sign is an old sale. Who am I to argue with a store employee?? I just love a "know it all" employee. The sales paper for this week even said they were BOGO 1/2 off. The coupon could be for 20%, 30%, 50% off or a free gift. I figured I would get the free gift...that's my luck. When she scanned my coupon, I got the 50% off. That meant that my shoes were now $10 for both pair (averaging $5 a pair) and my handbag was $5.50. I was so excited. I did ask the cashier what was the free gift...thinking it was so lotion or something like that. Turns out that it is a $10 Peebles gift card that you can use on that purchase. Not a bad day in my shopping world. Only thing that could have been better was if they would have had the white eyelet shirt that I had been watching in my size. It was $56, but yesterday they were marked down to $21...could have had it for $10.50. But I am happy with my deals and steals.

Findings
Got Mark this Docker's sweater for only $1.50. All men's clothes were 1/2 off because they have tons of men's clothes.
I got this cute little cooler to carry our drinks and water in the car with us for $2. I thought it was a steal.
Mark a pair of jeans and another sweater for $2...for both things. Woohoo!!! Great deals.
A quilted purse for .75. I love these quilted purses with all the pockets on the inside.
Another cooler for only $2. If you have gone to buy a new cooler lately, so know that this was a super deal.
Black and Decker cordless handi mixer with all the attachments for only $2. I just looked at something kind of like this for $40 in the store. Deals!!! Deals!!! Deals!!!!

A mystery novel for .25. I think that I actually picked this up at the library. I was thrilled to get. I love mysteries.
Brand new Christmas soap dish and cup for the bathroom for only $1. I think that this might be a vintage set that was unused because the bottom is stamped Japan.
2 Christmas tins for .10 each. I will use these to put my own goodies in this Christmas season.
Cookie and decorating set that has never been opened for $1. I bought 2 tubs of cookie dough from the school, so now I have a reason to use this.
A beautiful puzzle for only a quarter, and you know how I love to put puzzles together.
An America sign to hang on my porch during 4th of July. I love to find plaques to decorate my porch with each season or holiday.Thursday, October 22, 2009
Your Junk, My Treasure
Walking shoes that really look like they have only be worn once or twice. I paid a whole buck for them. I love them and they wear so good. Okay, I googled these shoes and they retail for around $90, so that was an extra good deal.
A very nice soft blanket that I plan to leave in the car for when we travel and I want to wrap up in something. I did spent a whole $2 on this, but it was so nice. Came home and washed it, and now it is as good as new.
I got Mark this beautiful tie for .25....can you believe that? If you have went and bought a tie lately they range from $15 to $40 depending on where you are shopping.
This is probably my favorite item that I picked up. It is a condiment holder. I use a lot of Styrofoam bowls when we do hamburgers or hot dogs to hold my pickles, onions and olives, but not anymore. This little baby was only $1.
A Ty beanie baby turkey for our niece Kate. I am putting together a Thanksgiving package for her and thought this would be perfect to include. I couldn't leave this at the store when it was a mere .50.
My genuine suede house boots. That is what the tag inside calls them. Very nice with a bottom that is made to go outside. Only $1 for these babies.
Okay, I really like these as well. They are vintage aluminum spice shakers, that don't look like they were ever used. They are as clean as a whistle on the inside. They have the names of the spice stamped on the side. I got all 8 of these in a bag for .50.
Last, but not least my Vera Bradley Cell phone case. .25 for this one and I am happy to say that it is currently on EBay with 12 watchers. No bids yet, but it still has over 4 days to go on bid. I will have to update you on how well it did on EBay. These are the kinds of things that I like to find to post on EBay to sell. It makes your business very profitable.
