Mission Accomplished!!!

For almost 18 years, okay maybe not that long, but ever since DVD' came out; I have wanted my wedding video put on a DVD. That was finally accomplished this week. Mark put our wedding video on a DVD. We watched the whole ceremony. I probably should wait and blog about this on our anniversary (the 26th of this month), but I want to talk about it now. I loved looking at the people who attended our wedding. Some are no longer with us anymore. I remember the nervous feeling I had that day, plus the excitement I felt. We both laughed at things in the video, or how long the song we picked out ended up being. My favorite song that was sung, "Forever's As Far As I'll Go" by Alabama. One verse says, "when there's gray in my hair and age around your eyes...". How appropriate now (that is not so funny). It was a lovely thing to do, watching yourself commit to one another almost 18 years ago. We told each other that we still loved and cherished the other. I am so glad to have to have this memories preserved again.

In General!!

It is around 2:30 am as I write this blog, so who knows where this will lead. LOL. I have been scrolling around on the old blackberry trying to find out what hurricane Earl is going to do. That is the bad thing about traveling back and forth...figuring out the weather at each place. With the weather, you never know. I just hope that he doesn't make landfall and the weather people are correct in their assumptions.

I went to Walmart yesterday and bought my binder, pages and tabs
to organize my coupons. I spent much of the evening getting those organized and I still haven't finished. I went through and cut more coupons. I still don't cut out the ones that we won't use, which seems to be a lot. We are not going to be using an ept pregnancy test nor kool aid coupons. So now I am armed and ready. I also picked up a cute pair of winter shoes while at Walmart.

Then I was off to Bed Bath & Beyond. I was armed with a 20% off coupon, courtesy of Paula Deen's magazine. I picked up a nice set of hand towels for our bathroom. I also found some nice fall leaf place mats. I browsed through the clearance bins, but nothing jumped out at me.

I finally ended up at Walgreens to buy packaging tape. They have a coupon this week for it, making it .99 a roll. I use so much of this with ebay. I got 3 more rolls (I went Sunday and got 3 rolls). I have another coupon, so I may go again tomorrow.

I plan later today to take some books and magazines to the library to donate. I have several books in the series I am reading now waiting on me there. I am reading the Penn Dutch Inn series by Tamar Myers. I love it, but lately other things have been occupying my time.

I am suddenly getting sleepy, so I won't fight it any longer. Tootles!!!

The Last Day!!!

I came up with a dandy plan for this coming month. For the whole month of September, I won't buy any groceries. Well, for the exception of eggs, bread, milk and of course some peanuts to boil. I have spent the last several weeks organizing my pantry shelves. I have bought and used coupons to stock up, plus we start in September getting our co-op box of veggies. My main worry is..I wonder how long I will last at this challenge. I love munchie food, which I haven't stocked up on too much. We can go out to eat, just not to the grocery store. I hope that I don't have a junk food attack during the month of September. Stay tuned to know if and when I break this challenge.

No Receipt..No Problem!!

I had to return a printer this weekend to Walmart. There was just one tiny problem, I didn't have my receipt. I have every other receipt that I have gotten from Walmart in the last 6 months except for this one. I actually think that it was the one I threw away and then dumped left over tuna salad in the same bag. YUCK!! Anywho, I thought I would just take my chances and see what happened. I had talked myself out of purchasing another printer (this one was broke). I went in with my printer along with my receiptless self. The lady was very nice. She asked if I paid by check. If yes, then she could look my receipt up no problem. I even had my duplicate check and the number. I thought how cool and easy. WRONG!!! Me having the check...EASY!! Them looking it up...not so easy. Then she wanted to know which register I checked out of. WHAT!!! That was 2 weeks ago, how do I know. I wanted to remark, "one of the only 2 that were open.". Seems that they only way they can trace your check is to go to each individual register and look the check up. How long would that take? Too long for me. I opted for a gift card instead. It actually worked out better. We were going to get gas (it was 2.47 a gal) and with the gift card you get an additional 3 cent off a gallon. No sweat!! The next time I write a check though, I am going to write the register number on the duplicate just in case.

Please Santa...Don't Bring!!!

I have purged my closet in the last several weeks. This weekend I reorganized my dresser drawers. To my surprise and a little to my horror, I have 40 pairs of underwear. LOL. I couldn't believe it...I recounted to make sure. This is not including all that I have in Moore County. What an interesting fact. So please Santa don't bring me any underwear this year.

Silly Sexy!!!

Today was a huge packing up Ebay day. I arrived back at Moore County to over 30 packages going out. I got up early this morning and started the long process. It really takes me more time to pull the orders than it does to pack the items. I get all that done and head out to run my errands. I go to my usual three places, the bank, PO and library. Then I had to return an item to Best Buy. While in there I decided to buy Mark the Xbox360. I am looking at the consoles when I noticed this man looking at me and smiling. He kept on looking at me, or more specific he was looking at my legs. I started smiling because I am thinking, "I've still got sexy legs at ALMOST 40." I was puffing up with some pride, and we know what the bible says about pride? He keeps looking and smiling and I am about to get giddy, I mean I was getting full of myself. That was until I looked down. To my horror there was a piece of packing tape stuck to my leg, and at some point the sticky end had snagged part of a McDonald's napkin. He didn't think my legs were sexy at all...he thought they were silly. So, don't hate me because I have silly sexy legs. LOL

Safe and Secure!!!

Once again, I find myself going to buy tags. This time we are going for my dad. Their week is full of appointments, so we are helping them out. I lost Andrew the last time I went to get tags (dreadful). Anywho, Andy is safe and secure. I am letting Mark hold his hand this time...the pressure is too much for me anymore. LOL

My D-I-V-O-R-C-E Becomes Final August 23rd!!!

Well, this week I got served with divorce papers (it's okay to gasp). I knew it was coming. After all, we haven't been getting along that well since January. I mean I wanted to talk things out, but they only want to squash my communication. I thought things were better until this week. I saw the official paper in the mail. I knew what the letter said before I even read it. Sprint is divorcing me!!! How utterly ridiculous is this I ask you?? They say that I talk to much while roaming. I say put up more towers. Our divorce date is set for August 23rd, but I plan to make it a quickie divorce and leave them this weekend. We are off to see if US Cellular will marry us and to see what kind of prenup we have to sign to marry them.

They say that our one year marriage is over. Boowhoooo!!! Who cares!! It was the sorriest service ever. I left Verizon for them, and they were even worse.

Look at the devastion on my face!!! I only hope that I will be able to text again after this ordeal.

Got My Rear in Gear!!

Today I got my act together. and started my diet. I feasted on celery and boiled eggs. Okay, I ate Wendy's hamburgers and Hardee's burrito. I once again evade my diet and put it off yet again. Actually, I did start and finished some projects. I personalized 7 books to put on Ebay and I finished a whole scrapbook. I also decorated a vase for a friend, and I finally got my closet cleaned out and organized. Yep, I got my rear in gear today and got a few. things accomplished. I will have to get into over drive for the diet, but that is months away.

My Weekend In A Nutshell!!!

We fly home every Friday afternoon. I bring the same bags back with me, and it is pretty much routine...until. Until we actually reach our house, then the fun begins. We rush in and make sure that Lilly is settled before we take off again. This Friday found us at El Cerro Grande feasting on a great cuisine of Mexican food, and then over to Costco's to stock up for the weekend. It proved to be a great trip...lots of fresh fruits. We came home and made Waldorf and 7 layer salad along with the shrimp salad we bought at Costco's. Saturday found us out just a bit before we headed over to Preston and Connie's for the new quartet to practice. They were awesome. The Casteen's were so gracious and just welcomed everyone into their home. Sunday the quartet, that just practiced for the first time the night before, found themselves featured as the special music. They did a fantastic job. After church, Mark and I found ourselves at Barnes & Noble bookstore...not good. We are book lovers. Soon we both had an armful of books and DVD's. I was just in pure heaven. After a browsing time there, we headed to the Longhorn for lunch. I had their Citrus Glazed Chicken with fresh asparagus. Mark did the chicken tenders along with fries. We picked up a piece of Key Lime Pie to take home along with most of our lunch. They really give you large portions so we had plenty left. Then it was over to Belk's to buy some shorts. Guess what?? In the middle of July they don't have any shorts in stock. A reminder to myself...buy shorts in February next year. Then it was off to home where I knew my bed was calling my name. Sometimes a nap makes me feel worse, which was the case on Sunday. Monday found us getting Mark's blood checked, it was too thin. After a quick lunch at K & W, we were back at Costco's. We bought a new air conditioner for our kitchen. Oh the many woes of window units. The new one will be put in this coming Monday. Lots of laundry to do and some cleaning finally got done. We went to Wendy's and picked up some dinner for us and mom and dad. Went over there to eat with them. Tuesday is always a mad house trying to get everything ready to hit the road. We finally got things together and got gone. Well, that is my weekend in a nut shell.

Running, Running, Running!!!

I know from the title of this blog, that you think that I have been out running/jogging in this heat. Well, you would be wrong. If you thought that then you don't know me very well. I don't run in heat or any kind of weather...running is bad for you. This is getting off the subject a wee bit, but it is true. My doctor slipped and said that to me. It has something to do about the impact of the weight on your bones...blah, blah, blah. Anywho, running is bad for you...I have doctor approval. LOL

The running I have been doing is all over town. When I come to Moore County right now, I have 2 full days and 2 part days to get everything done for that week. That includes errands, housework and writing these award winning blogs.

I find myself always at the same places every week. We have to go to the PO to mail off Ebay items. Which by the way, is still doing very well. If you haven't seen the items I have for sale then click on this Ebay word. I also find myself at the library. I now have all the dessert murder books in the series, so the panic mode is over for me. Then there is the bank...thank you for the bank Lord. I need money!!! The drug store is another frequent hang out for me. Between 3 people someone is always needing medicine. The grocery store is my other biggie. Sometimes if I am really good I can go every other week. It depends on how much we use that week. I run here and I run there. I am like a chicken with my head cut off. LOL

This is me running around all week. LOL

I stay pretty much on the go the whole time I am here during the week. That is why I go back to Pender County every weekend....to rest up. There is so much to do every week. I am never bored and never without anything to do or anywhere to go. I constantly live on the road during the day when I get back. Right now I am off to the post office, bank and grocery store. If you see me on the road...WAVE!!!

Father Blueberry!!!

We went to the NC Blueberry Festival yesterday held in historic downtown Burgaw. I loved it, except for the heat. I am not a fan of the heat. I never imagined there were so many ways that you can fix blueberries. I wanted to give the frozen blueberry lemonade a try, but never made it back to that booth. The festival was a real treat for me. I loved all the booths and vendors, and seeing that little town come to life.

I want to say a "Happy Father's Day" to my daddy today. I hope that you have a great day. I am naming July 11th Daughter's Day....I want you to be aware and to start your gift shopping. LOL

This vendor played these instruments so beautiful. It was a soothing kind of music.The only thing I bought at the festival was this personalized key chain. These was made at the Millie's Gift Box booth. Millie's Gift Box is located in Rocky Point on Hwy 117.

We had a great time yesterday at the festival. We went by our church, Riley's Creek Baptist Church, booth to see the ladies and maybe sneak a sample of cobbler.

Tidbits!!!

~I am totally amazed over the oddest things in life. Like watching a turtle for over 30 minutes just so I could see his neck stretch out real long. Crazy I know.

~Knocked over 2 bags of birdseed at the farm supply. I rubbed a kitty that I thought was stuffed...you guessed it, it was real. Scared me to death.

~Reading makes me so happy. I can't imagine why anyone doesn't like to read (my mom). It emerges you into another world.

~Liking to watch Wonder Woman must have been a childhood thing. Bought the first season, and it really doesn't make any sense. I must have just liked to watch her twirl around and turn into Wonder Woman???

~I love to wake up early. The only problem is that I usually want to go somewhere, and nothing good is open early in the morning.

~I love getting cards in the mail. I call it "Happy Mail".

~Ebay in my opinion is the best thing to happen on the internet.

~I absolutely love popcorn. I could eat it everyday, but no butter please!!

~I get a warm fuzzy feeling when my husband tells me that he loves me. It fills my love tank up up up up!!!

Just a few odd facts and tidbits about me, that I thought that someone might find interesting. I feel like no one reads this blog, but I have almost 4,000 hits in 9 months. Someone besides my daddy must find me my life a little interesting. LOL I do like doing a blog. It is a creative outlet, but somewhat a journal and scrapbook of things I do and like. Now I am off to read the last book of the Cedar Cove series by Debbie Macomber. I have really enjoyed these, and hate to wait until September when book 10 will come out.

Looking Forward!!

Well, I have been here in Moore County for almost a month without going back home. It is really my fault, because I booked my comedy routine up this way for several weekends in a row. Let me just say that I am looking forward to going home tomorrow. I miss my little house and all the places that I like to go in Wilmington. I can't wait to see my new windows that Chip has put in for us. I have just missed being at home down there so much. I have been packing up my things to go home for two days now. I have done a lot of shopping, so I have been trying to decided what to take and what to leave. The best part about going home is that I am staying a whole week when I go. YAY!!! I want to do lots of things while I am down there, but I don't know if I will have the time or not to do everything. Mom and I plan to go shopping and go to the beach. I am so excited. Dragging all my Ebay inventory with me is not that much fun, but is very portable. I have been going over in my head some things that I want to accomplish next week. I am going to buy a gas grill this weekend, and I plan to grill my little heart out over the weekend. I love grilled food, especially vegetables on the grill. I haven't decided exactly all the places I want to eat, but Hibachi Bistro might be one place...we haven't eaten there in forever. Never the less, I am looking forward to spending a little time in good old Pender County.

This was my version of the Zac Brown Bands song, Toes, yesterday as I was fishing. I pretended to be fishing for about two hours. I finally realized that I was catching more sun rays than fish. I caught zero fish, but landed one little fighting mad turtle. They are such a nuisance when you are trying to fish.

It has been a great week this week. I have been fishing, and getting a little sun at the same time. Ebay is still in high gear, which means that I am making money. I have been shopping several times. Going to perform on Saturday at my friend Kelly's church for their mother/daughter banquet. Got another call to book me. Going today to met my friend Cheryl at Tripps for lunch. Mark has been home all week, and I have enjoyed that. Right now as I type there is some remodeling going on at our little house...we are getting new windows installed. So over all life as been good this week. I can't complain. I have read 3 books this week and got to pretty much do what I wanted to do. Oh yea!!! Life is good today!!

Where Have I Been?

I have gotten several messages on Facebook asking Where have you been lately? Well, I have been on Ebay. Not only are the seeds in high gear, I also got a shipment of neck ties in this week. I try to sell more things than seeds on there. Seeds are only a seasonal item. The neck ties are just in time for Father's Day. They are religious ties that are around $20 or more at the Christian bookstore, but I sell them for $6.99 each on Ebay. I have been so busy on Ebay, that I haven't even had time to blog, which I am full of ideas on different subjects. My business has been booming lately, and it takes time to fill and pack orders, then make sure that your inventory is listed. So, where have I been? Why on Ebay of course.

Busy Bee!!!

That's me...The Busy Bee this week!!!

This week has found me busy as bee with things to do and working. I have had tons of Ebay orders to fill, but I don't mind that means that I am making some money in life. I have been amazed again this year at the price people will pay for seeds. Seeds are not that plentiful this year, so we are kind of on rations. Can only get so many and then you can't order anymore. I have found sunflowers doing better than any other seed that I have this year. We sell 4 varieties of sunflowers: Russian Mammoth, Black Oil, Lemon Queen and Autumn Beauty. They all do well especially the black oil. I have already sent to Hawaii and Puerto Rico this year. Texas and Florida are where most of my customers are located, but Ohio and Pennsylvania is a close second. The seed business has been taking a lot of my time, but I have managed to squeeze a little fun in this week as well.

Monday I met my friend, Rebecca Chriscoe, for lunch and a movie. We had a great time chatting over lunch. It was a little tissue time for me during the movie. We saw "The Last Song". It is Nicholas Sparks' latest book done into a movie. I thought it was great....better than the book.

Rebecca and I had so much fun chatting over our meal. We will have to get together more often. It was such a fun day.

We started off with plans to meet at 195 for lunch. Only 195 is closed on Monday. We decided on the Olive Garden....one of my favorites. I ordered the seafood Alfredo, which I had never had before. It has shrimp and scallops in it...very delicious. I was good...no calamari. I can't believe that I resisted the temptation to order a big old platter full.

We went to see The Last Song. I was not disappointed one bit either. It was better than the book in this regard...none of the extra filler nonsense in the movie. I thought there was too much incidents in the book that didn't make or break the story line. That was all left out of the movie. Some were disappointed that Miley Cyrus played Ronnie, but I thought she did an excellent job. She is an excellent crier, very believable. I have never watched or seen her as Hannah Montana, so I had no preconceived notions about her. I have heard her sing, and while I think she has a great voice...I think she has incredible acting abilities.

Lilly is actually getting groomed as I type this blog. Poor little thing was suppose to get groomed 2 weeks ago, but I had to cancel for some reason. She looks like a little rag dog. We started using a mobile groomers, that my friend Teresa Black recommended. It is called Canine Divine. Sandy, the groomer, is the best. Lilly took to her the first time she came out, and Lilly doesn't like most people. She does a great job on her, and it saves me time from going to and from a groomers.
Canine Divine is a mobile grooming service. I love that I don't have to drag her somewhere and leave her for hours. She is a nervous little dog, and this way she is not too traumatized. Thanks Teresa for recommending their services.

This is Lilly's before picture. She dunks her whole head in the water bowl for some unknown reason. We think she is trying to baptize herself, but we are not sure. LOL

Doesn't our little Boo Boo clean up well. I think she looks so cute. Sandy does an awesome job on her. For a dog that doesn't go outside, she sure gets messy in between grooming times.
