Ramblings

Mark's new Tommy Hilfiger Shirt.

Mark's Levi Denim jacket...only $4.
My new Lifestride pink shoes....gorgeous!!!

The last two days have been filled with me rambling around town. I have spent right much of time going to the post office, as eBay has done very well this past week. I have had orders to mail out everyday, and sometimes twice a day. I opened back up my store on eBay, Garner's Gems. Mostly I have books listed at a buy now price in my store. One customer came by this week and bought 7 books out of my store. I love it when customers come and buy many items. Not only is that money in my pocket, but also I get rid of the items lying around waiting for a new a home.

I went to the Goodwill yesterday afternoon. At first, I thought that it was a complete waste of my time, but it proved to be a fruitful adventure. I found 20 of the christian love inspired books that I read. These books were brand new, because the spine is not even creased. The went up to .75 per book, so I hesitated for a moment before buying. I did buy them because after I read them, I sell them on EBay and usually get my money back. They I hit the mother load on shirts for Mark. Brooks Brother dress shirts, new with tag, for only $3 each. I also found him a Levi denim jacket for $4, plus a Tommy Hilfiger shirt for $3. Plus a Nautica fleece pullover for $2. Then I found me a brand new pair of Lifestride pink flip flops for $3. It turned out to be a good hunt after all.

Was taking pictures of a few things that I bought to put on this blog and Mark thought I was going to list his denim jacket on EBay. He thought I had gone crazy for a minute. I do that though, buy clothes and resell. If i find an item that is new with tags at a thrift store, I will buy it and resell it on EBay....if it is at a good price.

Bought a blooming onion machine off eBay, that was NIB (new in box) for $3.99. Poor seller didn't make any money off this item. They offered FREE SHIPPING and it cost them $7.87 to ship it to me. Can't wait to try it this weekend. I hope Mr. Sonny Rowe as some big onions for sell. I will tell how it turns out.

The new law about no plastic in the trash as me bumfuzzled (my word for confused). The man at the dump tells Mark that it is water bottles, milk jugs, drink bottles and detergent bottles. The website has a bunch of numbers that you find on bottles listed. What about ketchup bottles, mayo jars, shampoo bottles, plastic forks??? I am not sure what you are or are not suppose to throw away now. I am not exactly hankering to get a $6000.00 fine for throwing away the wrong trash. Who knows??? Give them 6 months and they probably won't even check your trash, but right now they do.

  1. Wow, this sounds like something I would write: "They went up to .75 per book, so I hesitated for a moment before buying." I think people are crazy for buying books that are full-price!! I rarely even pay over 50 cents like you I'm sure. I LOVE those Christian romance novels though and would probably purchase them as well, read them as pass them on to mom and then several ladies at church that read them. So I usually get my moneys worth out of those!
