Nieces

We were so excited our nieces Kate and Baby Madelyn were coming to visit with us. They are technically our great nieces. We have 4 grown nieces and 6 great nieces. Kate turned 2 in September and Madelyn is 3 months old. We love them so much, and they are so precious. We love buying little presents for them. This is how Kate remembers us. Mark, Tracey and presents. I don't care, I love to spoil them. We were ready for their visit, and we didn't want to disappoint with no presents here for them. We had Kate 2 puzzles and a set of counting books with CD. Baby Madelyn got a stuffed giraffe (we will buy her more when she is older). Kate loved her puzzles. She is so smart. She named all the animals on the puzzle and most of the fruit on the other. What 2 year old knows what a kiwi is anyway. It didn't take her long to catch on to all the fruit names. We had made snicker bar brownies in anticipation of their arrival. We decided to do pizza for lunch, because this is Kate's favorite. After the arrived, Uncle Mark went to Pizza Hut to pick up our pizzas. Kate was excited over the pizza. This was also the first time that we had gotten to see Madelyn, and she is just the most precious baby ever.

Baby Madelyn propped up on some pillows so she can get a better view of this crazy family.

Kate has she eats her pepperoni pizza. It was yummy!!! She also liked the cheese sticks.

Grammy Nell holding her great grand child Madelyn. This was an exceptional picture because Grammy is paralyzed after having a stroke, and she really wants to hold those great grands.

Madelyn laughing at something her crazy NeeNee is doing. Her NeeNee is Mark's sister, Gail. She is always doing some kind of crazy face to make her laugh. Madelyn probably thinks she is a toy.

Kate decided that she wanted to color in these giant coloring books that Mark and I got for all the girls to share when they come to visit. We have a huge basket of toys for them to play with when they come. They all head straight for the basket now. They love all the toys.

This is Kate with her mommy, Rebecca. Rebecca is Gail's daughter. There are Anna and Rebecca in that family. They have Kate, Madelyn, Autumn and Mikaylyn. Anna is only 4 years younger than I am, so we have not gone with the Aunt Tracey formality. Sounds too funny.
Mark's brother, Dwight has 2 daughters as well and they are Jessica and Jennifer. Then we have 2 great nieces there as well, which are Courtney and Makynlee. We have to have a dictionary to keep the spelling of all these "M" names straight. Christmas should be so much fun this year with all these kids. Mikaylyn is the oldest as she has started high school, Autumn is 10, Courtney is 9, Makynlee is 5, Kate is 2 and Madelyn is 3 months. Hard to keep straight sometimes. Okay family history lesson is over.

NeeNee Gail feeding baby Madelyn. The only time this baby cried in 4 hours was when she was hungry. She is the happiest baby ever. And did I mention that she is so sweet.

She was laughing her little head off at her NeeNee acting so crazy. She laughs big time for such a little baby.

Kate went outside and picked some red berries that she is showing Grammy Nell.

Madelyn, who looks just like her daddy, Jay. We should call her JayBird, but her mommy doesn't like nicknames. I might secretly call her that, because I call Kate, Sweet Cheeks when Rebecca isn't around. These kids moved so fast that most of my pictures aren't that clear.

Madelyn said that this is not fair. You had pizza and all I get is some formula. It will have to do for now.

Uncle Mark is holding Madelyn. Isn't she just ever so precious. Look at those little cheeks on her, so squeezable.

Kate with a little pizza sauce around her mouth. She told me that it was yummy. Then we started singing yummy yummy I've got love in my tummy.

Look at those curls. I could just eat her up. She is so sweet and lovable. You can't help but love something that adorable.

So sweet and innocent. I love this picture of her. She has the family wrapped around her little finger.

Did I mention in this blog how sweet these babies are, or how much we love them. We had the best visit with them. Thank you Rebecca and Gail for taking the time to bring them to visit with us. Aunt Tracey has already bought more presents last night. Hey, you have to be remembered for something in life.
